sourceThis week integrates two bands with news that I’m excited about: Eisley‘s ValleyScapes tour and upcoming music video, and the future release of the Neutral Milk Hotel box set and tiny tour.
Now, although neither tour actually goes anywhere where I could go, live music is one my most favorite things, so those of you that can, go and have fun for me! I’ve seen Eisley live nearly ten times (as headliners, support, and at in-stores), and they never disappoint. As for NMH, I’m hoping the tour expands, because hearing those songs live is definitely on my bucket list (if I had one).
Anyway, “Two-Headed Boy Pt. 2”, and any NMH song really, is just so wonderfully intricate that I won’t dare begin to describe it. All I will say is that Sherri Dupree Bemis [of Eisley] covers this song beautifully; her voice hits all the right inflections and the result is sublimely sincere.
